==<big>'''Weekly Bible Passage: I Corinthians 11James 2'''</big>==1 Be ye followers of meMy brethren, even as I also am have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons.
Now I praise youFor if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, brethren, that ye remember me in all thingsgoodly apparel, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you.there come in also a poor man in vile raiment;
But I would And ye have you know, respect to him that weareth the head of every man is Christ; gay clothing, and the head of the woman is the mansay unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the head of Christ is God.poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool:
Every man praying or prophesyingAre ye not then partial in yourselves, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head.and are become judges of evil thoughts?
But every woman Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were him?
For if But ye have despised the woman be poor. Do not coveredrich men oppress you, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.and draw you before the judgment seats?
For a man indeed ought Do not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is they blaspheme that worthy name by the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.which ye are called?
For If ye fulfil the man is not of royal law according to the womanscripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well: but the woman of the man.
Neither was But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the man created for the woman; but the woman for the manlaw as transgressors.
For this cause ought whosoever shall keep the woman to have power on her head because whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of the angelsall.
Nevertheless neither is the man without the womanFor he that said, neither the woman without the manDo not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, in thou art become a transgressor of the Lordlaw.
For as the woman is of the manSo speak ye, even and so is the man also do, as they that shall be judged by the woman; but all things law of Godliberty.
Judge in yourselves: is it comely For he shall have judgment without mercy, that a woman pray unto God uncovered?hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.
Doth not even nature itself teach youWhat doth it profit, thatmy brethren, if though a man say he hath faith, and have long hair, it is a shame unto not works? can faith save him?
But if If a woman have long hairbrother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.
But if any man seem to be contentiousAnd one of you say unto them, we have no such customDepart in peace, neither be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the churches of God.body; what doth it profit?
Now in this that I declare unto you I praise you notEven so faith, that ye come together if it hath not for the betterworks, is dead, but for the worsebeing alone.
For first of allYea, when ye come together in the churcha man may say, Thou hast faith, and I hear that there be divisions among you; have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I partly believe itwill shew thee my faith by my works.
For Thou believest that there must be is one God; thou doest well: the devils also heresies among youbelieve, that they which are approved may be made manifest among youand tremble.
When ye come together therefore into one placeBut wilt thou know, this O vain man, that faith without works is not to eat the Lord's supper.dead?
For in eating every one taketh before other his own supper: and one is hungryWas not Abraham our father justified by works, and another is drunken.when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
What? have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise ye the church of GodSeest thou how faith wrought with his works, and shame them that have not? what shall I say to you? shall I praise you in thisby works was faith made perfect? I praise you not.
For I have received of And the Lord that scripture was fulfilled which also I delivered unto yousaith, that the Lord Jesus the same night in which he Abraham believed God, and it was betrayed took breadimputed unto him for righteousness:and he was called the Friend of God.
And when he had given thanks, he brake itYe see then how that by works a man is justified, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of menot by faith only.
After the same manner Likewise also he took was not Rahab the cupharlot justified by works, when he she had supped, saying, this cup is received the new testament in my blood: this do yemessengers, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.and had sent them out another way?
For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he comebody without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.
But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.
For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.
For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.
For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.
Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry one for another.
And if any man hunger, let him eat at home; that ye come not together unto condemnation. And the rest will I set in order when I come.
